In October 2024, mass invasions of winged ants were reported in homes and establishments across Brazil. After the Nuptial Flight phenomenon, their dead bodies were scattered along the Brazilian coastline. While the phenomenon reflects a natural cycle of swarming and mating with the arrival of spring in the southern hemisphere, it also exposes the imbalance caused by climate emergencies.
