The body performs the ambient air as a hyperobject and an invisible force that challenges human limits.
Breathing becomes the focal point of connection between ecosystems and bodies, a sensory intersection of expanded temporalities and shared flows.
Through breath retention, apnea, hyperventilation, deep breathing, breath of fire and other breathing techniques, the artist times her respiratory cycles, transforming them into visual records. The rhythmic vibrations of breathing are translated into graphite and charcoal strokes on the gallery walls. The stroke extends the pulsating energy of the body in oscillating states of consciousness influenced by air retention and breath. Topographies emerge, documenting the respiratory performance.
